Cercul Militar Bucharest

Palatul Cercului Militar National in Bucharest, or short Cercul Militar, was built in 1911 and is the cultural headquater of the Romanian Army. Cercul Militar is situated in the Center of Bucharest, in the university zone, on Calea Victoriei. Beside the Army administration, a lot of cultural events in Bucharest are held there.

Romanian Athenaeum was designed by Albert Galleron, a french architect, for the Romanian Atheneum Cultural Society. Ateneul Roman was planned to serve art and science. Though it was already opend on 1988, building continued until 1897. It was restored in 1992 and hence, remains now a pretty picture of Bucharest.

Ateneul Roman is a neoclassical building with romantic influences. It is 41 meters high, while the concert hall of Ateneul Roman has some 650 seats, a diameter of 28.5 meters and a height of 16 meters. Romanian Athenaeum is sourounded by a parc while a statue of Mihai Eminescu stands in front.
