Brasov Center


Braşov (Hungarian: Brassó; German: Kronstadt; in Medieval Latin even Brassovia or Corona) is the seventh largest city of Romania and the capital of the county Brasov. Brasov city has a population of nearly 285.000 citizens, often called »Brasovean« (female: Brasoveanca). Brasov lies in the Center part of Romania and belongs to Transylvania. As it is sourrounded by the Carpathians it is renowned for its skiing opportunities.

The city is host to the Golden Stag Festival (Cerbul de Aur), an international music festival, which is held once a year. Due to its location in the center of Romania Brasov suits well for sightseeing and trips in Romania.
