As all national currencies in Eastern Europe the Romanian Exchange Rate deprecated by over 0.4 RON between fall 2008 to early winter 2009 and stabilized during spring 2009 at some 4.2 RON/EUR. In the last month of 2009 the RON deprecated further due to the government crisis and reached levels over 4.3 RON/EUR.
